GERMINATING THE FIRST CANNABIS SEEDS OF THE SEASON – 2023!

Seeds
We’re popping our first round of landrace cannabis seeds for our Cannabis Botanical Garden, and here is what’s on the menu this season:

Deep Dive into South East Asian Landrace Sativas – this region produces some the most high vibin’, electric, psychedelic cannabis genetics on the planet, and we are super excited to explore over 30 varieties from this area. The menu includes multiple genetic varieties from:

Thailand (old school Thai Stick varieties)
Vietnam
Laos
Cambodia
Burma/Myanmar
Indonesia/Sumatra
Philippines
Papua New Guinea
Sri Lanka

These are extremely tropical varieties with flower times ranging from 12-20 weeks! We will be hunting for varieties with those special electric effects and unique terpene profiles, that can also finish here in our California climate in their pure form, or perhaps work with them to create unique hybrids that stay true to the effects while also practical for growing here in the USA.

We will also be exploring the original old school Mexican, Colombian, and Brazilian sativas that were a staple in the USA in the 60’s – 90’s. The effects were always super fun, silly, and giggly, but the flowers (and seeds and stems) always so beat up, brown, and heavily seeded because of the shipping practices (brown Mexi brick weed). So we are excited to experience these Mexican classics when they are grown in an organic regenerative way, and then properly harvested and cured to perfection.

Sinaloa
Oaxaca
Acapulco
Jalisco
Colombian Black
Colombian Punto Rojo
Brazil Amazonia
And a few Jamaican and Caribbean old school varieties

For our Indica leaning varieties, we will be exploring multiple pure landrace genetics from the Middle East and Himalayan region:

Iran
Pakistan
Nepal
Kashmir
Tajikistan
Bhutan

It’s fun and mind expansive to grow and experience the cannabis from other parts of the world. There are multiple ways to connect with other cultures, through music, food, and through their unique cannabis varieties (developed over generations based on the effects, not lab results)!

2023 may be the year we finally start hosting events, private parties and tours, so looking forward to connecting with some of ya’ll who share similar cannabis related interests…..

– peace
