With the legalization of recreational cannabis in Maryland, three friends decided to plant their seeds in Fells Point. Julius Franks, Devin Melton and Donte Johnson are the owners of Baltimore Hydroponics, which teaches customers how to grow plants indoors. “We provide the plants, the tents, lighting, all the equipment you need to do any kind of growing inside your home,” Franks said. “With the cannabis plants, you’re looking at, for flowering, 12 hours of interrupted darkness, 12 hours of light will get you results, but again, it will take you a couple of months to get there.”
