Medicinal cannabis in cancer patients – is there a benefit?

Carlo DeAngelis, PharmD, Sunnybrook Health Sciences Center, Toronto, Canada, takes us through the use of medicinal cannabis in Canada, including the legislation, logistics and perceptions of this treatment option for pain and other side effects in patients with cancer. He highlights the need for more research on this agent.
