Doug Berman is the Newton D. Baker-Baker & Hostetler Chair in Law and executive director of the Drug Enforcement and Policy Center at the Moritz College of Law at the Ohio State University. The state of Ohio recently became the 24th state to legalize adult-use cannabis and sales within the first week have topped $11.5 million. With the advent of recreational cannabis comes a host of questions and concerns. And while it’s too early to tell what the impact of legalization has been so far, Berman talks about a few areas that people are discussing: driving under the influence of cannabis, concerns about “home grow,” and how intrastate differs from interstate transportation of marijuana.
