Over seven years after medical cannabis was legalised in the UK, the National Police Chiefs’ Council (NPCC) has approved its first official guidance for officers and staff.

Crucially, the guidance calls for a “patients first, until proven otherwise” approach when officers encounter individuals lawfully prescribed medical cannabis.
